Ways to Apply

To apply online, please visit our AU Undergraduate Prospective Student Portal or the Common Application.

If you prefer to complete a paper copy of the application, you may download and print the 2009-10 Undergraduate Application in PDF or you may submit a paper copy from the Common Application. A nonrefundable $60 processing fee is required for all applications.

Admissions is interested in knowing about your academic interests and life outside of the classroom. This information—along with transcripts, test scores, essays and letters of recommendation—helps them evaluate you on your own academic merits.

Freshman (First-Year) Deadlines

Fall Semester

  • Early Decision: November 15
  • Regular Decision (students living in the U.S.): January 15
  • Regular Decision (students living outside the U.S.): January 15

Transfer Deadlines

Fall Semester

  • Students living in the U.S.: July 1
    (March 1 is the deadline to be considered for scholarships/financial aid.)
  • Students living outside the U.S.: May 1

Spring Semester

  • Students living in the U.S.: November 1
  • Students living outside the U.S.: September 1
