Interesting Fact
Ted always wanted to be a teacher and a counselor; his career spanned 33 years in the Alexandria Public School System. He really connected with his students and enjoyed counseling them. At least one former student, Lousia Reyes, went on to become a SIS alumna.

Why He Gives
Ted cares a lot about students and their futures. He gives to AU because he wants his money to go toward making a difference in students' lives. Also, Ted's father placed a premium on higher education so that also inspires Ted's generosity.
