Join AU's inCircle Online Community! Launched in Fall 2006, we invite you to fill out your profile completely, inviting all of your friends to join, starting groups, and generally adding lots of good content.

2. Follow the simple steps to register on the right side of the screen.

How do I get started?

Each inCircle member can create an original, editable, and lively Web page. To start the process, simply follow these directions:

• Select “My Profile.”
• Select the “Edit” buttons with your profile page to update your personal, business, and social information. From here you can add picture albums, add a journal, and even allow those in the community to read your blog.

How do I invite my friends?

To find friends, type their names in the Search box.

• Once you find your friend, select the “Add as friend” button.
• You will then see the e-mail message that will be sent to your friend. From here you can add a personalized message requesting a network connection.
• If you can't find the individual you are looking for by using the keyword search, try the Advanced Search link directly below the Search box. With advanced search, you can look for someone by a number of criteria, including class year, major, city, etc.

After you've invited friends, you can use inCircle to send messages to your network, invite them to attend events, make professional connections like finding a contact at a specific company – almost anything!

How do I join or start a group?

Groups allow you to exchange ideas, plan events, share photo albums, and meet new people, all within your inCircle community.

• The “My Groups” tab links you with alumni who have similar interests.
• Join groups from the home page or by searching for particular ones in the “My Groups” tab by keyword search or browsing the categories, then selecting “Add to My Groups.”
• Start your own groups by clicking the “Create Groups” link and going through the various prompts.
• Interested in sharing career information with students? If so, be sure to join the Career Resource Alumni group!

How do I post to the community?

The “Community” tab allows you to post messages to everyone in AU's inCircle Community.

• You can post in several forums within the Community tab, which are divided into General, Advice, For Sale, Housing, Jobs, Sports, and Tickets.
• To insert a new message, choose the forum and then select “New Topic” to post.

If you do your part, AU's new inCircle Online Community will be one of the most powerful social networking communities on the Web.
