Dow Jones & Company provides the business news and information necessary to support the financial goals of the world's business community. The Company has achieved premier recognition for its products and services. To sustain this excellence, the Company seeks to attract talented undergraduate and graduate students via internship programs.
A representative from Dow Jones Newswires will be on campus October 12th to present on upcoming internship opportunities and meet with interested students. Interviews for summer interns will be conducted following an interactive information session in McKinley 155. This is a rare opportunity to connect in person with an NYC-based recruiter interested in meeting YOU!
Dow Jones Newswires interns work closely with reporters and editors to deliver prompt, accurate reporting of business and financial news. During the 10-week program, interns write market commentary and forward-looking features, analyze market data and generally hone their journalistic skills by working with the various news teams to cover the financial markets.
Applicants must have the ability to work in a fast-moving, sometimes stressful environment with extremely tight deadlines. Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills and an excellent command of written and spoken English are a must. Working knowledge of financial markets is helpful but not required. The selection process is highly competitive and most of those chosen have had prior internships with other newspapers as well as extensive experience on a campus newspaper.
