For students with disabilities, job-surf online with the Bender Virtual Career Fair, a national event launching on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Organized by CareerEco Virtual Career Fairs and Bender Consulting Services, a firm that aligns individuals living with disabilities with professional career opportunities in the public and private sectors, the online event will connect students and alumni with various employers offering full-time or co-op jobs or internships.
The online job fair will feature organizations such as Google, Amerigroup Corporation, the Centers for Disease Control, each of which will be available for online chats with interested students. As the date for the fair approaches, specific hours for each employer will be added online; video chat is not required to participate. Fair attendees must register for the event beforehand and have a resume uploaded on http://disability.careereco.net before the fair begins.
