American Studies (Minor)

Minor Requirements

  • 18 credit hours with grades of C or better, a minimum of 9 credit hours at or above the 300-level, and at least 12 credit hours unique to the minor

Course Requirements

Required (6 credit hours)

Electives (12 credit hours)

  • 12 credit hours, with at least 6 credit hours at or above the 300-level, and no more than 6 credit hours taken in the same department, in courses focusing on Washington, DC, the United States, or the United States and the world, selected from at least three departments or programs including American Studies, Anthropology, Art History, History, or Literature.
