Jack Hyman

Adjunct Instructor School of Education, Teaching and Health

Jack has been teaching at American University since 2008. Having earned his BS in Computer Information Systems at American University and MA in Education & Human Development from The George Washington University with a specialty in Educational Technology Leadership, Jack has taught Uses of Technology in Education (EDU-519) as well as works with SETH Faculty on various technology-based grant initiatives.

Jack’s area of research include Usability Engineering, Privacy, Human Factors, Knowledge Management, Mobile Computing, Web 2.0, and Educational Technologies.

Additional Information:

John Hyman has won several teaching awards and received the 2000 University Award for Outstanding Service to the University Community. He began teaching at American University in 1986 where he has directed the Writing Center since 1993 and in 2000, became the director of the College Writing Program. In addition to teaching many courses in writing, Hyman has taught courses in American studies, the Beat Generation, and the history and literature of the Vietnam War.
