Kenneth Ward

Professorial Lecturer Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Dr. Ward joined the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at AU in 2015. His current research interests lie in number theory and arithmetic geometry: broadly, questions relating to finite fields and their applications. Prior to joining the Department, he served as Assistant Professor and founding member of the NYU/ECNU Institute of Mathematical Sciences at NYU Shanghai. His previous research has spanned multiple areas of mathematics, including social choice models, auction theory, and statistical applications of price theory. He has also taught mathematics at the University of Chicago and studied DNA cation binding (via atomic microscopy) at the Enrico Fermi Institute.

Outside of mathematics, he is an avid musician and biker.
