Bio
Suzi Fox received her MFA from Rhode Island School of Design and her BFA from Virginia Commonwealth University in sculpture. Her work uses process as a primary means for generating form and meaning. Through manipulations such as carving, weaving, and twisting materials, she begins to understand the direction to pursue for a sculpture. She has been in solo and group exhibitions at Hillyer Art Space, Washington D.C., Greater Reston Arts Center, Reston, VA, Arlington Arts Center, Arlington, VA, Black Rock Center for the Arts, Germantown, MD, Acme Gallery, Columbus, OH, Phoenix Gallery, New York, NY, White Box Gallery, Philadelphia, PA, DNA Gallery, Provincetown, MA, and The University Art Museum, University of Albany, Albany, NY. She has taught courses at several universities, including 2D-3D Design and Sculpture at George Washington Corcoran School of the Arts, Color Theory and Drawing at the College of Southern Maryland, 3D-Design at Edinboro University, Intermediate and Advanced Sculpture at Virginia Commonwealth University, Drawing and Sculpture at the University of Virginia.
