"Chaim Weizmann: Statesman Without a State", lecture by Jehuda Reinharz, President of the Mandel Foundation, Brandeis University President Emeritus, Richard Koret Professor of Modern Jewish History; and Director of the Tauber Institute for the Study of European Jewry. Dr. Reinharz's two-volume biography of Chaim Weizmann, the first president of Israel, has won many prizes in Israel and the United States.
Dr. Michael Brenner, Seymour and Lillian Abensohn Chair in Israel Studies, will introduce the lecture. This lecture is part of the series: The Founders of Israel and Their Relevance Today. The lecture will be followed by a reception.
