Ana Paula Meireles, Graduate Assistant. Ana earned her bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching and Literature at the State University of Ceara, in Brazil, 2004. She spent three years teaching English at private language schools before coming to America. Ana has just completed her TESOL Certificate Program and is currently working on the M.A. in TESOL. Her favorite place to be is at the beach and she really loves listening to Brazilian music in her free time.
Rebecca Wilner, Graduate Assistant. Rebecca graduated with honors from the University of Rochester with a B.A. in Psychology and minor in Spanish. She then moved to Madrid, Spain where she taught English in companies in the Madrid area, in addition to doing quite a bit of tutoring in students' homes. While in Madrid she realized how wonderful the English language is and how much she enjoys teaching and decided to further her education in these fields. This led her to her current endeavor as a first-year student in the TESOL M.A. program. She very much looks forward to learning new things and meeting new people.
Huijin Yan, Graduate Assistant. A second-year student in the MA TESOL program, Huijin earned her bachelor's degree at the Beijing International Studies University in 2003. She spent 3 years teaching English in a middle school in Beijing, sharing in every single triumph that her naughty teenage students made in their English study. Huijin really enjoys English culture and wishes to get a deeper sense of it so that she can bring more interesting topics to her class in the future.
