Egyptian Religion (3) This course introduces students to the complex Egyptian religion which developed over 4000 years. Reading ancient Egyptian myths coupled with a simple introduction to hieroglyphic writing will clarify the Egyptian religious system which grouped gods such as Amun, Re, Hathor, Osiris, Isis and Horus into families to teach ethical principles (Maat) and illuminate the traditional funerary practices meant to guarantee eternal life.
