Welcome to Capital Renewal and Deferred Maintenance at American University!

The Capital Renewal and Deferred Maintenance (CRDM) group conducts long range maintenance master planning, develops and manages replacement and repair projects, operates and maintains life safety and electrical distribution systems and assists University departments with alteration projects.

Capital repair and replacement projects are centrally funded and programmed using annual funding allocations.

Capital renewal activities are projects that replace, upgrade or repair existing equipment or structures when they reach the end of their useful lives.

Deferred Maintenance projects are renewal projects that have been deferred and recollected in a database for future implementation when the funds are available.
