Overview

Looking to be supported and inspired while staying grounded and more present in the moment? Join AhealthyU for a special day of wellness focusing on managing stress. This hybrid program offers opportunities for in-person and remote participation.  

We will have presentations that will help you develop wellness strategies, as well as seated massages, reflexology for hands and feet, and biometric screenings for Hemoglobin A1C, blood pressure, and cholesterol. Fasting not required. 

Presentations include Dr. Russell Robinson on building connections in times of change and Dr. Ian Rutkofsky on managing stress and burnout by optimizing brain health.

Mobile Health Van  

9:00am - 3:00pm 
 

Located on the Quad in front of the SIS building. 
The Mobile Health Van returns offering blood draws to help inform you of your health metrics (cholesterol, BMI, A1c, and blood pressure). This screening is provided at no cost to you, regardless of insurance provider, with no fasting required, and is open to everyone. Registration is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.

Building Resilience and Connection in Times of Change 
Presented by Dr. Russell Robinson

Dr. Robinson is the Director of Undergraduate Leadership Development at American University's School of Public Affairs, his primary topics are employee voice and silence, employee engagement, leadership, culture, and wellness. He is joining us today to discuss the reasearch behind employee resilience and provide valuable takeaways on how to support one another during stressful times.
The presentation will be from 11:00 - 11:30am with time for Q&A and a team discussion to share ideas with other colleagues at the event.

Enjoy some refreshments with the Chartwells teaching kitchen as they provide tips on how to make a satisfying snack. Sample some treats and network with co-workers if able to attend in-person.
