The Center for Business Communications works with Kogod School of Business community to help them become better writers, speakers, thinkers, and readers.
We believe that writers and speakers at all levels of ability benefit from sharing their written text and verbal presentations with people who will provide honest, yet supportive feedback. Our staff serves as both readers and audience members, and will ask questions and suggest revisions to improve clarity.
The Kogod Center for Business Communications can help you with:

Caron spent eight years teaching and building relationships with AU students as a writing professor in AU’s College Writing Program before moving to Kogod in July 2016. In her role as KCBC Director, she collaborates with faculty to integrate strong communication skills - both verbal and written- across the business curriculum and teaches business writing as part of the MBA program.
Shenandoah Sowash is the Assistant Director of the KCBC. With a professional background in public speaking, writing, and research, she is honored to serve and teach Kogod students. She came to AU from a D.C. trade association where she worked closely with major law firms such as Latham & Watkins as well as notable corporations including Johnson & Johnson and Bausch & Lomb.
