Global Learning

Gain a global perspective.  Gain a competitive edge.

The Kogod School of Business encourages all students to spend time studying and/or working abroad.  One of the school's core philosophies is that students who have spent time in diverse locations leave Kogod better prepared to manage and communicate in cross-cultural settings and compete in a global environment. To help make this critical piece of a business education available to more students, Kogod offers programs of various lengths in several overseas locations, including Asia, Latin America and Europe.

Undergraduate Opportunities

Kogod undergraduate students can pursue a range of international learning opportunities, including traditional semester or year-long study abroad programs, interdisciplinary summer programs, and short study tour courses that expose them to international business and management strategies. Participation is strong, with more than half of all undergraduates taking advantage of at least one overseas program. Kogod’s academic advisors work closely with students to help them identify the most appropriate program and prepare for an enriching experience abroad.

Graduate Opportunities

Kogod also strongly promotes study abroad to its graduate business students, recognizing that overseas experience is increasingly viewed as a core part of any business education and highly valued by potential employers. We strive to offer a range of options to accommodate different student schedules and budgets. Kogod has established partnerships with top business schools around the world, where graduate students can immerse themselves in international business for a semester, a summer, or shorter study tour or summer management program. This exposure complements the business theory taught on campus, and helps produce well-rounded global managers for the 21st century.
