Welcome to Kogod! We're excited to work with you to meet you personal, academic and professionals goal over the coming semesters. You will be hearing from us at various points before the start of your program, but in the meantime, we encourage you to review information on this page in preparation for your arrival.

Please note that the information below pertains to new students recently admitted to an on-campus graduate program.

Set up your AU Email account or forward your AU Email to your preferred email account. All future University emails will be sent to your AU email account.

AU ID Card

Submit your photo for your AU ID Card.


Visit AU Central for questions about billing, payment options, payment plans, tuition and fees. They can also assist with veteran benefits or financial aid.

Kogod scholarships are highly competitive and awarded at the time of admission. Additional scholarship opportunities may be found by viewing AU Graduate Scholarships, outside scholarships, and the National Scholarship Directory.

There are also some Student Employment opportunities on campus.

Health Insurance Waiver

All full-time students are automatically enrolled in and billed for health insurance. If you have your own and would like to waive AU Student Health Insurance, follow these instructions.


AU does not provide on-campus housing for graduate students, however you can find housing resources here.

Immunization Records

All students under the age of 26 must provide the Student Health Center with their immunization records BEFORE the start of the semester. Failure to submit these required documents will result in a hold being placed on your account and can prevent you from making changes to your registration. International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)

ISSS can answer questions about visas and I-20s, leaving and re-entering the country, and work authorization (CPT and OPT).

Kogod will host a mandatory new student orientation before the start of the semester. Learn more about Kogod Graduate Student Orientation and RSVP here.

International students are also required to attend a separate International Student Orientation.
