One Card Features

Residence Hall Access

Housing & Dining Programs grants residence hall access to all on-campus residents. Please contact HDP at (202) 885-3375 or email our One Card Programs at if you experience access problems related to your residence hall.

All other building access requests must be sent to Public Safety at Visit Public Safety’s Access Control for further instructions.

EagleBucks and Dining Dollars

EagleBucks and Dining Dollars can only be accessed on your One Card. Once issued a One Card, students, staff, and faculty can immediately add EagleBucks. Only students may use Dining Dollars. Value can be added at Add Value machines in Bender Library, Anderson Hall, McDowell Hall, the Mary Graydon Center, the Anderson Computing Complex, or the Washington College of Law Library. Meal Swipes

Your meal swipes, a part of your meal plan, can only be accessed through your One Card at certain on-campus locations. Additionally, various locations participate in the meal exchange program, in which you may exchange a meal swipe for a certain set of items. Library Card and Pages Per Semester Funds

Your One Card serves as your library card for Bender Library, Pence Law Library, and all libraries within the Washington Research Library Consortium. You can also use your One Card to print and make copies at main campus computer labs and libraries using your Pages Per Semester funds. Washington College of Law students must use EagleBucks to print at the Pence Law Library. Visit University Library to learn more about library services.

Vending Machines

EagleBucks are accepted at most vending machines on the main campus and the Washington College of Law.


All washers and dryers in the residence halls require EagleBucks to operate. You can track laundry room availability on under the eSuds tab on the website.

Recreational Sports and Fitness

All students, staff, faculty, and alumni must present a valid One Card in order to use the Recreational Sports and Fitness facilities. Visit the Recreational Sports & Fitness to learn more about registration, the fitness facilities, and policies.
