*Please note that Orientation begins at 9am on Day 1 and ends around 5pm on Day 2. Please make travel arrangements accordingly.

• visit my.american.edu and log in with your student username and password. (If you haven't created an account yet please visit my.american.edu/accounts. (If you can't remember your username or password, or are having trouble logging in please contact the Help Desk at 202-881-2550.)
• Click Activities and Events on the right-hand side of the page
• Click Student Checklists under the personalized links 
• Click on the appropriate Checklist (Freshman- New First Year Undergraduate, Transfer- New Transfer Student Checklist)
• Scroll down to Register for New Student Orientation and Welcome Weeks, click Do This Now
