Get
a Parking Permit:
Non-residential
students with cars may purchase commuter-parking permits to park in the
Nebraska parking lot ONLY. To do so, bring your vehicle registration, student
ID and (if you have part-time status) proof of course registration to Transportation
Services, located in the Public Safety building. After 5:00 pm, the Nebraska
lot becomes open to all vehicles.
Obtain an ID Card:
Submit a photo electronically for your AU Student ID card
using the graduate student checklist on the my.american.edu web portal.
Do the Paperwork for Need- and Merit-Based
Awards:
For information regarding need-based financial aid, please
call 885-6100 or visit the Financial Aid website
to find out more about the office and its services.

Metro buses are another convenient way to get around. The
even-numbered 30 buses (30, 32 34, 36, and 38) go down Wisconsin Avenue
from Tenleytown down to Georgetown, and the other way to Friendship Heights.

The AU Shuttle goes from main campus to the Washington
College of Law, Glover-Tunlaw housing complex in Glover Park, the Tenley
campus, and the Tenleytown-AU metro stop. For detailed information and schedule,
