Spring Grant 2009
Background Information
The Eagle Endowment is pleased to offer its annual Spring Grant application for public and community service initiatives. We hope that through our grant, the ideas of students and student organizations will be put into action to “build partnerships, empower communities, and serve to make a difference.”
Examples of past projects funded by the Endowment include:
DC Youth & Government - AU students educated DC high school youth about their city’s government. College Experience Weekend - AU students conducted workshops for Latino immigrant students on the accessibility of college. Personal Finance Education for Young Women - developed and implemented a personal finance curriculum geared toward helping low-income women become financially literate through an eight week course.
The Eagle Endowment highly encourages the participation of all members of the American University community in the grant application process. Undergraduate, graduate, and Washington College of Law students, as well as recognized student groups, are all welcome and encouraged to apply.
