AU Network Drives and Storage for Faculty and Staff
American University faculty and staff members have access to both private and departmental network storage. OneDrive for Business should be used for storing personal work-related files and folders.
Network drives are the preferred location for storing departmental documents and files, especially sensitive or confidential data. All faculty and staff will have access to the following network drives when logged into the AU network:
I: - The I: drive is the shared network drive that is accessible only to staff members in your department.
K: - Some larger departments also have a K: drive, which provides access to restricted folders for subgroups within those departments.
J: - The J: drive is a shared network drive used by faculty members to post and share public course-related materials. It is also used for restricted access, cross college file sharing.
Please contact the IT Help Desk at 202-885-2550 or email@example.com if you have any questions on network drive access.
