Bio
Wim Taylor joined the Frederick Douglass Distinguished Scholars Program (FDDS) as its Managing Director in January of 2021. Having served the AU community for more than 17 years, Wim has served as a First-Year Advisor and Instructor in First-Year Advising, done career mentorship/career development, alumni engagement, employer relations and undergraduate academic advising in the Kogod School of Business and he also served as an undergraduate academic advisor in the School of International Service.

In addition to his work experience in higher education, Wim has also worked in finance, consulting, real estate and the legal field. Wim brings his work and lived experience, his passion for student success and his institutional knowledge as well as the relationships that he has developed over his years of service with alumni, faculty, staff and current students to his role with the FDDS program.
