Amanda Janis

Amanda J. Stewart has over ten years experience working in nonprofit organizations ranging from small, local efforts to large, international organizations.  She is a fourth year PhD candidate in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at American University’s School of Public Affairs.  Her research interests include nonprofit management and foundation behaviors, and her dissertation research is exploring the performance implications of executive director turnover in nonprofit organizations.  Mandi has her Masters degree in social work from Boston College and her Bachelor's in business administration from Birmingham-Southern College.
