Are you an SIS student interested in networking, or in creating a mentorship relationship with someone in the field? If so, consider attending the Women's Foreign Policy Group's Annual DC Mentoring Fair on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
The Women's Foreign Policy Group's mentoring fair connects students with mid- to senior-level international affairs professionals who can talk to them about their career experiences in an informal setting. Unlike a career fair, the focus is on entering and succeeding in international career fields, not just opportunities at particular companies. Sectors include international development, NGOs, human rights, international law, international health, international business, diplomatic service, the UN, journalism and communications.
Both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as AU alumni, are welcome to attend, but registration for the event is required. The event costs $10 for students and $25 for young professionals. For more information and to register, visit www.wfpg.org/mentees, call (202) 429-2637 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
