OSP Guiding Values

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) manages sponsored projects that move AU toward becoming a world-leading research university.Reflecting this goal and AU’s own ideals, the following values are built into OSP’s daily operations:

HIGH PERFORMANCE:

Members of the OSP staff perform their duties in an efficient, accurate, and professional manner. Critical to high performance is clear communication, effective follow-up and attention to detail.

Mission Statement

The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) provides a supportive, proactive, and dynamic environment for conducting research projects and sponsored programs by:

  1. Stimulating interests in the intellectual life of the AU community;
  2. Encouraging creative approaches to the development of new opportunities;
  3. Promoting interdisciplinary and interdepartmental cooperation; and
  4. Fostering the enrichment of students and teaching.

OSP is committed to reducing the administrative burden on faculty, administrators, and staff by providing efficient, effective and personal service. Finally, through the interaction of pre-award and post-award knowledge and skills, OSP seeks to safeguard the university by ensuring compliance with internal and external regulation, policies and procedures.
