COMM-466 Advanced Writing for Film (3) Course Level: Undergraduate

Advanced Writing for Film (3) (FM) Emphasizes fiction film scriptwriting. Students are expected to write a feature-length screenplay during the course of the semester, with attention to structure, character development, visual storytelling, dialogue, and theme. Students also read and review professionally-written screenplays. The workshop format includes lectures, discussions, guest speakers, and critiques of student work. Crosslist: COMM-666. Usually Offered: fall. Repeatable for credit. Prerequisite: COMM-382. Restriction: minimum 2.5 GPA.
