SIS-682 Foreign Policy: Institutions and Processes (3)

Course Level: Graduate

Foreign Policy: Institutions and Processes (3) Analysis of American foreign and defense policy processes, including the role of the president, Congress, Departments of State and Defense, the intelligence community, and other actors and factors affecting policy formulation and implementation. Students participate in a simulation of the policy process addressing a real world issue. The exercise incorporates memo writing, public speaking, and other practical skills.
