Social Advocacy and Social Change (3) Examines social change methods and mobilizing successful movements for social change: defining issues, forming constituencies, recruitment, choosing goals and strategies, criteria for choosing tactics, fundraising and resource mobilization, grassroots leadership development, handling the media, legislative coalitions and judicial remedies. Usually Offered: spring. Prerequisite: three courses in sociology.
