CTRL - Research Support Workshop: Advanced STATA, Multi-Level Modeling (Updated 10/30/13)
11:45 am – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 6 (2013), Hurst CTRL Lab 202
Join us today for Advanced STATA: Multi-Level Modeling. Multi-level (hierarchal) modeling (MLM) techniques allow us to assess variation in a dependent variable at several levels simultaneously: For example, we could compare variations in unemployment at the individual, county and state levels. STATA is an excellent package for multilevel modeling, because it has a wide range of hierarchical model estimators and has integrated data management capacity. It is easy to change variables and to add higher level explanatory variables. In this workshop you will learn how to use STATA software for: multilevel data visualization; MLM regression analysis with a continuous dependent variable and random intercepts or slopes; fitting two and three level models; and doing post-estimation tests. Check dates and times, read workshop descriptions, and register for attendance at: https://domino.american.edu/AU/CTRL/CTRL_TrainCal.nsf/Welcome. If you want to schedule in-class workshops for these programs or any other programs we support, please tell us about your needs here: https://american.co1.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_cBZa3F5aX6N7TuJ.
