American University senior Maddi Pariser is the winner of the School of Communication’s #MySOC social media contest. The #MySOC competition is an opportunity for students to share their SOC stories by capturing a favorite class, study area, or internship with a photo or video. 

Pariser is a journalism major with an international studies minor. She is an SOC Dean’s Intern at NBC4 Washington, where she works with the digital team. For her winning entry, Pariser submitted an Instagram video featuring herself using Social Media on NBC4. 

As the winner of the #MySOC competition, Pariser gets to go to lunch with SOC alumna and current NewsChannel8 host, Sonya Gavankar McKay.
