Nadeen Makhlouf Adjunct Instructor Department of Public Administration and Policy

Bio

Nadeen Makhlouf holds a PhD in Public Administration from American University. Her research interests include global governance and comparative public policy and administration with a focus on North Africa and the Middle East. It also revolves around topics of organization theory and diffusion of management practices particularly among international organizations. Her dissertation, "Managing a policy system: The challenge of food security,” discusses the increased awareness and efforts promoted in line with New Public Management to address food security challenges and the need for governments and international organizations to develop appropriate strategies for food production and distribution. Nadeen was honored to be included in the American Society for Public Administration’s (ASPA) 2015 class Founders Fellows.

Nadeen received her Masters degree in Public Policy from American University and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland.
