Considering law school after graduation from American University, but not sure when, how, or where to start? For guidance, networking opportunities, and educational information sessions, consider attending the SALT Making Connections: Strategies for Diversifying the Legal Profession conference on Friday, Feb. 15.
The event, organized by the Society of American Law Teachers (SALT), will feature a number of student-oriented sessions that will address everything from law school funding to what to do with your degree. Scheduled panels include Legal Education: Managing Cost, Managing Debt; Introducing LSAT Study and Personal Statement Tips; and How Diverse Students Succeed: A Student's Perspective. After the sessions, students can network with representatives from more than 40 law schools at the Law School Fair and Reception. Participating schools include American University Washington College of Law, Cornell Law School, University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, and more.
This event is free to attend, but registration is required by Thursday, Feb. 14. To register online, visit https://www.wcl.american.edu/admiss/salt_registration.cfm.
