Undergraduate Admission to SIS

School of International Service undergraduates sit in the Atrium of the SIS Building.

Direct admission to the School of International Service Undergraduate Program is offered to high school seniors and transfer students who meet AU's Undergraduate Admissions Standards. All applicants apply to American University. A separate application is not required to be admitted to School of International Service at the undergraduate level. All applicants, regardless of intended major, are evaluated using the same admission criteria and standards. Those who are admitted to AU will begin undergraduate studies in their selected major of study during their first semester (or take General Education courses if they are undeclared).
