Sebastian Bitar Giraldo

Sebastian is a recent PhD from the School of International Service, and an Assistant Professor at the Alberto Lleras Camargo School of Government, Universidad de los Andes, in Bogota, Colombia. <br/><br />His research interests include US military bases and security cooperation, Latin American foreign policy, Human Rights, and Theory of International Relations. <br /> <br /> He has received grants from Fulbright, the Tinker Foundation, the Kettering Foundation, the International Studies Association, the School of International Service at AU, the Colombian National Institute of Science (Colciencias), and the Universidad de los Andes in Colombia. Sebastian is the author of "The First Steps of Human Rights in Colombia" (2007, Universidad de los Andes Press, in Spanish).
