Visiting the Admissions Welcome Center is your chance to immerse yourself in the American University (AU) undergraduate experience. From the classroom, campus life, internships, and study abroad, you will get to KNOW AU and see how we use inquiry, discovery and knowledge to serve the greater good.
You’ll participate in an information session presented by one of our admissions professionals. Most, but not all, visits include a guided campus tour led by a current AU student ambassador; when you register, please confirm that your visit includes a tour; reservations are required.
Scheduling Your Visit
To ensure you have a personalized, engaging experience, space is
limited for our tours and information sessions. As such, we ask that you
register in advance of your visit. You can register on your prospective student portal, email email@example.com
or call 202-885-6000. When registering via email, please provide
student's name, home address, number of guests, and preferred date of
visit. Please note that registration is done on a first-come,
first-serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate your preferred
date and time.
To request accommodations for
persons with disabilities, please call 202-885-6060 at least two weeks
in advance of your scheduled visit.
Before Visiting Campus
Before traveling to the university, please visit the homepage of the AU website. In the event of an emergency, the university operating status will be posted there. Should the university be forced to close, the Welcome Center and any on-campus admissions events will be canceled.
