Jill Swiatowy Heitzmann
- Jill has been a part of the School of Communication since 2009, leading recruitment and retention initiatives for undergraduates in the School of Communication. She works to build community and positively affect retention through student involvement programs and leadership opportunities such as the SOC Ambassadors, SOC Undergraduate Council, and the SOC Alumni Mentor Program, and also leads programs to assist students as they transition to AU. Jill works to teach AU students about the academic options within the School of Communication, and is the point of contact for all undergraduate prospective students interested in studying in the School of Communication. Prior to coming to American University Jill spent eight years in the fields of academic advising, transitional student success, and career development.
