2008 Staff Council Elections
The Staff Council is pleased to welcome our newest members: Ashley Ackerley, Robert Acunto, Gretchen Anderson, Brett Berkowitz, Diane Bickel, Felicity Brown, Scott Jones, Kativa Parker, Lori Rafferty and Kamran Rasul. They will be joining returning members Joanne Benica, Keith Bryner, Jr., Jose Mauricio Burgos, Rebecca Davis, Christine Gettings, James Helms, Chris Hughes, Kristi Plahn-Gjersvold, Alicia Rodrigues, Amir Tejani and Susan Tineo for the 2008-2009 year.
Also, we have a new Executive Board: Amir Tejani (Chair), Krisit Plahn-Gjersvold (Co-Chair) and Alicia Rodrigues (Secretary).
Passage of Resolution: “Reaffirmation of the Staff Council Governance Structure”
On June 3, 2008, the Staff Council unanimously passed a resolution reaffirming its governance structure. This resolution reaffirms our governing bylaws and how we solicit and elect staff members to the council. For a copy of the resolution, click here.
Support Educational Scholarships for Nigerian Girls
The Peace Corps Nigeria Alumni Foundation (PCNAF) is a non-profit organization formed by a group of former Peace Corps Volunteers who served in Nigeria. The organization is dedicated to assisting in Nigeria's development efforts through education for female students. In an effort to raise funds for its new scholarship program, PCNAF is currently collecting used cell phones, and will receive a donation payment for each phone collected.
