CareFirst and Kaiser medical plan participants have access to vision discount benefits through their plans. Vision coverage is not an electable benefit, but it may be a consideration when selecting your AU medical plan.

CareFirst BCBS’ BlueVision discount vision program is provided through Davis Vision Plan which covers routine eye exams at a $10 copay and offers discounts on frames, lenses, and laser vision correction surgery. Visit CareFirst for coverage details and provider information.

Kaiser participants can receive routine eye exams at no copay and eyewear and lenses are available at a discount through Kaiser centers and participating optical centers. Visit www.kaiserpermanente.org for more details.

Please note that a visit with an opthamologist is covered under your medical plan and subject to the appropriate plan copayment.
