- Serena earned her BA in Communication Arts with a focus in Journalism and a minor in Spanish at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. Prior to AU she worked as an Event Assistant at the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute (CHCI) and as a Corps Member at City Year in Washington D.C.
