Cornerstone Greece: American College of Thessaloniki

Cornerstone Greece is a spring semester study abroad opportunity offered exclusively to select first-year students. Cornerstone Greece allows you to get a jump start on your international education—letting you experience international culture firsthand while supported by AU and international university partners. Students must be invited to take part in the Cornerstone program by American University Admissions.

  • Study abroad under the mentorship of experienced AU and international partner faculty and administrators.

  • Experience cities and cultural sites throughout the Greece, aimed at showing you Greek life and culture.
  • Earn credit toward your AU degree, satisfy AU Core required courses, and explore your field of interest through the partner university.

Program Components

  • Courses are taught by faculty from the American College of Thessaloniki, allowing students to take exciting classes across disciplines with other study abroad and international students.

  • Live and study in Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece. Students will live in a residence-style accommodation with their cohort downtown and take classes on ACT's beautiful campus.
  • Experiential learning through guided excursions and study tours throughout Greece.
  • Mentorship from experienced faculty at host international institution and at AU.
