Passports

As a participant in Cornerstone UK, you must have a valid passport that does not expire within 6 months of the end date of the program. Students also will want to make certain that their passport is in good condition, as damaged passports can be refused for use (at the airport or upon entry in the UK).

Visas

U.S. citizens are not required to obtain a visa in advance to study in the United Kingdom for less than six months. Students from other nationalities will be responsible for researching the requirements for their visa and obtaining adequate permission to enter the U.K.

Declare Documented Accommodation Requests

Students are strongly encouraged to disclose and preregister any documented accommodation requests with the American University Academic Support & Access Center (AU ASAC) at (202)885-3360.

Students will need to obtain an official letter from ASAC that will be forwarded to Wroxton to determine how requested accommodations will be arranged.

AU Study Abroad Forms

All students participating in Cornerstone Abroad are required to complete AU Study Abroad forms to the Cornerstone Program Office. Failure to complete and submit any forms to AU may result in removal from the program.

Students must complete these forms no later than September 1st by logging into the AU Abroad website: http://auabroad.american.edu

Health Insurance

Students are required to maintain US based health insurance while abroad. Students also will be enrolled in AU's emergency medical insurance for international travel. This policy only covers emergencies in the United Kingdom and on program sponsored excursions during the program dates. Wroxton will also provide additional insurance for coverage within the United Kingdom. Information on supplemental health insurance can be found here.
