AU’s 2026 Alumni Award Recipients Announced
Whether through advocacy, activism, or international service, American University graduates make their mark on society once they leave campus. The AU Alumni Awards is a time to recognize Eagles who have shown up in their communities and made an impact through their professional, philanthropic, and volunteer achievements. The Alumni Awards are the highest university honors presented by the AU Alumni Association.
The 2026 Alumni Award recipients are:
Neil Kerwin Alumni Achievement Award
The Neil Kerwin Alumni Achievement Award honors AU’s first alumnus president, Neil Kerwin. It recognizes alumni who have distinguished themselves through their professional accomplishments.

Rising Star Award
The Rising Star Award recognizes recent alumni (those who received their degrees within the last 10 years) who are already making significant contributions to greater society through professional or philanthropic work.
