Francisco Rodriguez-Jimenez obtained his PhD in 2009 from Salamanca. He went on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University and as a Fulbrighter at GWU. In September 2020 was awarded with a second Fulbright project, to be implemented at American University, starting in February 2022. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Extremadura, and co-director of the Think Tank on Global Studies at University of Salamanca. He is about to publish a book about the history of Trump presidency and is also presently directing a research project: US Public Diplomacy Strategies in Latin America. And he has previously co-edited the following books: U.S. Public Diplomacy and Democratization in Spain; El Portugal salazarista frente a la democracia; Estrategias de Diplomacia Cultural; Mujeres universitarias en España y América Latina. He has acted as international reviewer for the European Research Agency; and several European universities; likewise, writes regularly OP-Eds in El Mundo. Other media appearances includes The Washington Post-podcast español, NTN24, DMAX, Canal Extremadura TV and Radio, The Conversation, etc. In November 2020, a book directed by Rodriguez-Jimenez was awarded with the ‘Arturo Barea’ prize.
