Journalists and authors Laura Blumenfeld and Samuel G. Freedman will discuss diaspora Jews and Israel in the era of President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.  Moderated by Professor Pamela Nadell.

Blumenfeld is an author (Revenge: A Story of Hope), Middle East analyst and a senior fellow at the Philip Merrill Center for Strategic Studies at Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies.

Freedman teaches journalism at Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.  He is the author of six non-fiction books, including Who She Was: A Son's Search for his Mother's Life and Jew vs Jew: The Struggle for the Soul of American Jewry.

Professor Pamela Nadell is the Patrick Clendenen Chair in Womens and Gender History and director of the Jewish Studies Program.
