Members of the AU community stroll through the Change Can't Wait festival's research walk.

Students and their families flooded Friedheim Quad on a Saturday in early October for the Change Can’t Wait Festival and its showcase research gallery walk. The Change Can’t Wait campaign supports AU’s scholars whose research finds solutions to today’s pressing challenges.

More than 40 researchers made up of students, faculty and staff, split a diagonal line across the quad to showcase their research at the festival, which was held during AU’s Family Weekend.

Their work focused on five research areas-health, data science and analytics, security, social equity, and sustainability-and showcased the breadth of research happening at AU and highlighting the immediacy in which the AU community works to solve some of the world’s biggest problems.

“It had energy, the quad was packed,” Kogod dean David Marchick said. “I brought my parents, and I learned a lot about what was going on all across campus. I thought it was really wonderful.”

Here’s a sampling of the AU community discussing their work and presentations at the research walk.
