Dear AU Community,

After a productive bargaining session today, I am pleased to announce that we have reached tentative agreements on contracts for both the adjunct faculty and the Provost and Enrollment division staff unit. The union has now called off its strike and the unit members will vote on ratification of the agreements in the coming days. 

Throughout this process, we negotiated in good faith and worked to reach an agreement. Since these are tentative agreements, further details will be available in the coming days.

I know this has been a challenging week. I want to thank the members of our community who helped move-in and welcome our students and their families. I also want to thank our community for their patience, resilience, and dedication to our students and our mission. Today’s developments will help us start the semester with focus on our scholarship, learning, and community.
