Dan Luperchio, Interim Vice President for University Advancement, joined AU in 2018 as the Assistant Vice President of University Programs with responsibility for the Planned Giving, Annual Giving, Corporate and Foundation Giving, and Parent Philanthropy fundraising teams. In his most recent role of Associate Vice President of Development, Dan oversaw the school- and unit-based and central fundraiser teams as well as advancement operations, ensuring the successful completion of the Change Can't Wait campaign (CCW) by June 30, 2024.

Dan joined us from his alma mater, The Johns Hopkins University, where he served for twelve years in advancement roles of increasing responsibility. Having participated in two comprehensive campaigns, including the JHU $5B Rising to the Challenge campaign in 2018, Dan brings valuable experience in campaign planning, forecasting and data analytics to American University.

Dan has served in both advancement operations and front-line fundraising roles throughout his career. As a research coordinator in the Zanvyl Krieger School Arts and Sciences, Dan created and presented predictive models for the school's annual, major, parent and planned giving programs. As Director of Donor Services, he managed a donor relations portfolio of 250 donors and 550 endowed funds.
