He pursued his BA in Anthropology and Global Affairs with a concentration in Latin American/Caribbean Studies at the University of Notre Dame, where he also minored in Theology and worked extensively as a research assistant across multiple departments.

After graduation, he took on a leadership role in a refugee resettlement organization in South Bend, where he helped manage programs, coordinate community partnerships, and support clients navigating resettlement. He later served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Panama, working in youth development and education through program coordination, trainings, and community initiatives while tracking outcomes and strengthening local capacity.
