Bio
Janet Nagler has been an Academic Counselor at American University since 1981, when she began advising adult and nondegree students, both graduate and undergraduate in the (former) Continuing Education Advising Center. In 2000 she transferred to the College of Arts & Sciences, where she advised adult, undergraduate students as well as freshman and sophomore degree students. She has been an Academic Counselor in the Department of Public Administration and Policy since 2001. She has been an active member and past president of the Experiential Learning Assessment Network (ELAN). In DPAP she now works part-time, and advises some MPA students, as well as students in the BA/MPA, BA/MPP, JD/MPA, JD/MPP, LLM/MPA and LLM/MPP programs. She also coordinates and advises students for the Hertie School of Governance exchange program in Berlin. She is on campus on Wednesday afternoons.
